[Case Study] How to Use nat

Scanat solves a variety of challenges faced by professionals in the construction, real estate brokerage, and moving industries.
Do you encounter any of the following challenges in your work?

  • Construction

It's difficult to secure the staff needed for site surveys.

I don't know where in the entire site the photo was taken

This can lead to omissions in measurements or photography

  • Real Estate Brokerage

There aren't enough photos, so guests can't get a sense of what the room looks like.

It takes too long to show multiple units, and it’s difficult to coordinate schedules with clients.

We can't view the unit because it's still occupied, so we can't close the deal.

  • Moving

It's difficult to schedule appointments for appraisal visits

People are reluctant to have home visits

We want to reduce the number of staff assigned to site inspections and estimates and increase the number of staff assigned to transportation operations.

Securing Staff for Site Surveys

nat, you can use the video camera on your iPad or iPhone to take photos of the room you want to survey and create 3D data. Without the need for a tape measure or a stepladder, you can easily measure the ceiling height and beam dimensions on-site by yourself.

Reducing the Burden of Construction Management and Communication Errors

Once the 3D model is created, everyone involved can communicate while viewing it, making it possible to convey exactly where everything is, just as if they were actually on site.

To prevent missed measurements, forgotten photos, etc.

If you save the 3D models you’ve created, you can review them or take measurements as many times as you like later on, so you won’t have to return to the site because you missed measuring protrusions, recesses, or outlet locations.

Real Estate Brokerage

We can show you more properties

For customers who visit our showroom, we can show them 3D models nat of floor plans, allowing us to showcase many units on the spot without having to take them on an on-site tour. Since this makes it easier for them to visualize the units, they can even sign a lease without visiting the property.

Reducing Travel Time and Costs for Property Viewings

By allowing customers to view 3D models in-store, the need to visit the property in person is minimized, which reduces the travel time and labor costs associated with property viewings. You can then use the time saved for other tasks, such as serving other customers.

Preventing Forgotten Room Photos and Forgotten Measurements

If you save the 3D model you’ve created, you can review it and take measurements as many times as you like later on, allowing you to simulate how furniture will look in the space. You won’t need to visit the property again to check for protrusions, recesses, storage spaces, or outlet locations.

Moving

Securing Staff for Site Visits and Estimates

Since even staff with little experience—or customers themselves—can scan a room to create a 3D model, the site survey and estimate processes can be completed without the need for one of our few site survey specialists to visit the location.

Keep the coordination of visit appointments to a minimum

For customers who are too busy to schedule daytime appointments, we can send them an iPad so they can take photos and create 3D models on their own. Based on the 3D data they send us, we can then complete the shipment verification process over the phone.

Reducing instances of forgotten baggage and communication errors

If you save the 3D models you’ve created, you can review them as many times as you like later on and remeasure their dimensions. Since you can always hold meetings with clients while viewing the same data, communication errors are avoided.
