"EE Tohoku '26," one of the largest construction technology exhibitions in the Tohoku region, bringing together the latest technologies, will be held at Yume Messe Miyagi on Wednesday, June 3, and Thursday, June 4, 2026.

This exhibition showcases the latest construction technologies from industry, academia, and government, serving as a forum for technical exchange aimed at addressing the challenges facing the construction industry, such as the promotion of i-Construction, infrastructure maintenance and management, and disaster prevention and mitigation.

We are pleased to announce that the 3D scanning app " Scanat " will be showcased at the exhibition booth of Kotobuki Construction Co., Ltd., a company Scanat and has been helping us raise awareness as a sales partner.

In addition, staff nat will be on hand at the booth during the event to provide product information alongside the team from Kotobuki Construction.

In response to the growing shortage of workers and the "2024 Problem, " we are pleased to present a practical solution : "Field DX and the Use of 3D Technology on Civil Engineering Sites—Start with Just One iPhone. "

■ Highlights of the Booth (Live Demos)

At the Kotobuki Construction booth, we will be showcasing " Scanat," an app that allows you to perform high-precision 3D measurements and create models using only your everyday iPhone or iPad, without the need for specialized equipment such as laser scanners.

On the day of the event, we will be offering a "live demo" where you can try scanning right on the spot in a setting designed to resemble an actual civil engineering or construction site. We invite you to experience firsthand how easy it is to use and how fast the process is.

▼Please pay special attention to this section

・Improving productivity at civil engineering sites ( Scanat for civil engineering): Instantly capture 3D data of roads, slopes, and structures to prevent rework caused by missed measurements.

・Streamlining drawing creation and earthwork volume estimation: By extracting DXF files from scanned data, we can speed up the creation of drawings for sites without existing plans and facilitate a quick assessment of the current conditions.

・Contactless, safe measurement: Safely and quickly captures data on conditions in areas where access is difficult or dangerous—such as sites where traffic restrictions need to be minimized or during disaster recovery operations.

・Passing on technical expertise to younger staff and remote sharing: Utilize 3D models and 360-degree panoramas to visually share on-site conditions. This facilitates smooth explanations and discussions with office staff and clients.

◼︎Recommended for people like this

We highly recommend this to professionals in the construction and civil engineering industries in the Tohoku region who are facing the following challenges.

⚪︎Engineers and site supervisors in the construction and civil engineering industries (streamlining site surveys, adapting to i-Construction, and reducing labor requirements)

⚪︎Surveying and Design Consultants (Speeding up site surveys, easy utilization of 3D data)

⚪︎Representatives from local governments and public organizations involved in public works (digital transformation of infrastructure maintenance and rapid situation assessment during disasters)

■Introduction to Exhibited Products

The 3D scanning app " Scanat "

We’re turning conventional wisdom on its head—such as “expensive laser scanners are too costly to implement” and “we want to reduce the effort involved in creating 3D data for ICT construction”—and dramatically transforming site surveys using just a single iPhone.

With just a quick scan performed by a single person, you can take measurements within the 3D model, calculate areas, and export DXF files.
You can see this technology—which has already proven effective at actual construction sites (including case studies from Kotobuki Construction)—up close.

"I want to start digitizing my construction sites in 3D easily and cost-effectively."
"I want to improve construction management efficiency and implement workplace reforms right away."

We look forward to seeing you all there.
