A World First! " Scanat," an AI surveying app that utilizes smartphone LiDAR sensors, now features curved surface measurement capabilities

nat (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: 劉 栄駿; hereinafter “the Company”) is pleased to announce that it has implemented the world’s first* curved surface measurement feature in Scanat (v1.9.0), an AI surveying app utilizing smartphone LiDAR sensors developed and provided by the Company.
(*Based on the Company’s internal research of all 3D scanning apps available on the App Store as of March 14, 2024.)

◾️ Development Background

The impetus for this development project was the numerous requests we received from current app users for curved surface measurement capabilities.
