Business Development Lead (M&A/PMI)

Job Description

As the right hand of the CEO, this position will be responsible for business development and M&A sourcing strategies associated with business expansion, from planning to execution. This position is also responsible for leading the team in post-M&A PMI from system development to execution.

Reporting line

Directly: President & CEO – Representative Director and President

Primary Responsibilities

  • Planning and executing sourcing strategies (building relationships with industry key figures, collaborating with partners such as financial institutions and brokerage firms, designing referral-based sourcing programs, and conducting PR activities)
  • Due Diligence (Coordinating with external partners such as accountants, lawyers, and labor consultants, and taking the lead in driving the due diligence process)
  • Review of M&A Structures and Term Sheets, and Acquisition Negotiations
  • PMI Design and Execution (Establishing a PMO structure, developing a 100-day PMI plan, executing the PMI, etc.)
  • In addition to leading M&A and PMI initiatives yourself, you will also be responsible for leading the team.

Eligibility Requirements

MUST

  • Experience in M&A or PMI (either) at a consulting firm or similar organization
  • Experience in corporate planning and M&A at a business company
  • Someone with experience in PMI implementation who can coordinate stakeholders at the target company and within their own organization to tenaciously see the PMI through to completion
  • Candidates who are able to work at the Tokyo office

WANT

  • Individuals who hold a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
  • Candidates with experience and expertise in SaaS (B2B) businesses
  • Experience in people management
