I used to work in general administration at the management departments of major retail chains and at recruitment agencies! My role mainly involved providing behind-the-scenes support to the company’s staff.
I joined as a temporary employee, so I was introduced to the company by a staffing agency!
Having worked for a long time at a company with a long history, I decided to join nat out of curiosity and a desire to take on the challenge of a “startup environment” where “many employees are around my age.”
nat, I had the impression that “startups seem busy and the atmosphere seems tense,” but even when everyone is busy with their own work, if I ask a question, they’ll stop what they’re doing to help me. Everyone, both inside and outside the team, checks in with each other as they work, and I feel that this is the complete opposite—in a good way—of the image I originally had of startups!
I am part of the Business Operations Department (commonly known as BO), where I provide internal support to ensure that our sales representatives can focus on their sales activities. Specifically, my work primarily involves administrative tasks such as registering business cards and preparing various documents like quotes. However, I also handle many tasks that involve direct interaction with customers, such as creating accounts for new clients, thereby supporting our operations from both internal and external perspectives!!
When I arrive at the office, I first check my emails and to-do list to address requests from sales representatives and handle daily tasks. I then prioritize and work through my tasks, wrapping up the day’s work before heading home.
What makes this job rewarding is when people rely on me! Even for small things, when someone asks for my help, it makes me happy to think, “Am I really contributing to the team?!” The appeal of working in BO is that these small, cumulative efforts build trust!

I think we have an environment where everyone on the team—regardless of seniority or position—feels comfortable speaking their mind! While our opinions sometimes clash, it never leads to any lingering tension; we’re actually a pretty laid-back team!!

I think one of the biggest draws is how close-knit the team is! We get to interact with members from other departments at the monthly company-wide meetings and during daily lunches, and I think that really helps us in our day-to-day work! On a more serious note, there are many situations where we’re expected to “take the initiative in everything,” so it’s a great place to develop the ability to think for yourself and just dive right in!
I want to gain a broad understanding of our operations and become a go-to resource within the company! I also want to take on the challenge of serving as a liaison between departments to create an environment where everyone can communicate smoothly.

We’re looking for people who get excited about change and aren’t afraid to ask for help when they’re stuck! I’ve received so much support from my colleagues, and I want to be there for our new team members too. I hope we can all support one another and have fun working together!
