natA case study on the implementation of “Triangle Ehime,” a public-private collaboration project in Ehime Prefecture in which our company participates, has been published on the official Note blog.
This articleScanat introduces not only pilot projects by local governments utilizing the platform but also specific use cases resulting from collaboration with multiple corporate partners.
Triangle Ehime is a public-private partnership demonstration project promoted by Ehime Prefecture.
It brings together local governments, startups, and regional companies with the goal of solving on-the-ground challenges and implementing solutions in society.
natThe company participated in this project and has been conducting a field trial of digital transformation (DX) that utilizes the 3D scanning app “Scanat ” to conduct a proof-of-concept for on-site digital transformation.
The time required for on-site measurements and photography has been significantly reduced from “2 to 3 hours with two people” to “20 to 30 minutes with one person.”
This has also reduced instances of forgotten photos and the need for return visits. Furthermore, creating floor plans based on 3D data has improved the accuracy of explanations provided to customers during property viewings, which has led to an increase in the closing rate.
In fire scene investigations, we achieved an operational efficiency improvement of over 80% in Reiwa 6.
In Reiwa 7, we implemented features such as “offline functionality for use in environments without internet connectivity” and “embedded 360-degree photos,” enabling a workflow where data can be managed from recording to reporting even at scenes without cellular service. We have also established a system for rapid response in emergencies through pre-scans of the homes of elderly residents.
We’ve cut down on the enormous amount of time previously spent on on-site measurements and report preparation.
By sharing 3D data remotely, we’ve significantly reduced the number of on-site inspections and travel time, thereby speeding up planning and estimating while improving safety.
The points evaluated through this demonstration are as follows.
As a result, adoption and utilization of this technology are expanding across a wide range of industries, including local government, construction, real estate, and infrastructure.
The pilot project at Triangle Ehime yielded results that demonstrate
“3D scanning is not just a niche, cutting-edge initiative, but has the potential to become the new standard for on-site operations”
