On Thursday, February 26, 2026, we held the “RICOH360 &Scanat Application Seminar: ‘Utilizing 360° Images and Spatial Data at Construction and Contracting Sites’” on Thursday, February 26, 2026.
In this seminar, co-hosted by Ricoh Co., Ltd. and our company, we introduced the latest applications of on-site digital transformation (DX) using a combination of 360° cameras and 3D scanning.
On the day of the event, we welcomed participants from a variety of industries, including construction, civil engineering, and architecture, and there was a great deal of interest in the new workflow that allows “tasks to be completed with just a single photo of the job site.”
This seminar went beyond a simple introduction to the features; it revealed practical know-how from a real-world perspective on how combining 360° photography and 3D scanning with
can streamline work processes — which are traditionally fragmented into “photos, drawings, and notes” —and “complete the entire process of recording, sharing, and explaining in a single step.”
Ricoh Co., Ltd. shares tips for 360° photography using the RICOH THETA.
The presentation explained an end-to-end approach that covers the entire process from “shooting → sharing → reviewing.”
Here, we’ll introduceScanat we’ll introduce practical ways to use it.
We shared specific methods for moving away from the traditional “photos plus drawings” approach to work.
What stood out most to me throughout the entire seminar was,
It was a change in the nature of the work itself.
Many participants shared comments such as: “
” and “
”

Following the seminar, we held a “hands-on workshop” where participants had the opportunity to actually operate the RICOH THETA andScanat in a “hands-on workshop.”
"I never thought it would be this easy to document work sites."
"With this, it looks like we could implement it in our company right away."
We received many comments like these, and by letting attendees experience the platform firsthand, it provided an opportunity for them to get a concrete sense of what on-site digital transformation looks like at
.
We will continue to hold seminars to share the technologies and know-how actually used in the field.
Even if you were unable to attend this time, we look forward to seeing you at the next seminar.
In addition,Scanat we are gradually releasing case studies on our website and YouTube channel.
