On Thursday, February 26, 2026, we held the "RICOH360 Scanat Utilization Seminar: Applying 360° Images and Spatial Data at Construction and Building Contractors' Sites."
In this seminar, co-hosted by Ricoh Co., Ltd. and our company, we introduced the latest applications of on-site digital transformation (DX) that combine 360° cameras and 3D scanning.
The event was attended by professionals from a wide range of industries, including construction, civil engineering, and architecture, and there was significant interest in the new workflow that allows tasks to be completed with a single photo of the site.
This seminar went beyond a simple product demonstration. It revealed practical know-how on how to use
to combine 360° photography with 3D scanning, thereby streamlining workflows that were previously fragmented into separate tasks involving photos, drawings, and notes, and completing the entire process—from recording and sharing to explanation—in a single step.
Ricoh Co., Ltd. shares tips for 360° photography using the RICOH THETA.
The presentation explained a streamlined process that covers everything from "shooting" to "sharing" to "reviewing."
We will introduce Scanat ways to use Scanat.
We shared specific strategies for moving away from the traditional "photos plus drawings" approach.
What struck me most throughout the seminar was,
It was a change in the nature of the work itself.
Many participants shared comments such as:
“I can now envision how to integrate 3D data into our daily operations,” and
.

Following the seminar, we held a "hands-on session" where participants had the opportunity to try out Scanat RICOH THETA Scanat for themselves.
"I never thought it would be this easy to document work sites."
"We could probably implement this in our company right away."
We received many comments like this, and by actually letting people try it out, it provided an opportunity for them to get a concrete sense of what on-site digital transformation looks like at
.
We will continue to hold seminars where we share the technologies and know-how actually used in the field.
If you were unable to attend this time, we look forward to seeing you at the next event.
We are also gradually publishing case studies on Scanat on our website and YouTube channel.
Please be sure to check them out.
