nat, Inc nat has released new features for its 3D space scanning app, “ Scanat.”

In this update, to meet measurement needs in a variety of field settings, we have added a “Continuous Line Measurement” feature in addition to the existing “Line Measurement” feature.

In line measurement mode, you can generate a polyline connecting multiple measurement points by tapping (clicking) different locations within the model in succession.

In addition to the lengths of individual line segments, the total length of multiple sides is automatically displayed, which significantly streamlines a task that previously required taking multiple measurements and adding them together.

In addition, the usability of the measurement functions has been improved.

Even on complex delivery routes, you can easily determine the actual distance traveled by measuring along the winding path.

It can also be used to verify the lengths of components that extend in multiple directions, such as baseboards and trim pieces along walls.
Since tasks that previously required multiple measurement sessions can now be completed in a single operation, this leads to greater efficiency in on-site inspections and quantity surveying.

It can also be used to measure complex wall surfaces, passageways, and equipment piping routes.
Since measurements can be taken directly on the 3D data captured on-site, this helps reduce the risk of missed measurements and the need for follow-up visits.
